Skipper Jim Magilton has been given more time to consider his future after receiving a player-coach offer from another club. The squad were back at the club yesterday ahead of the start of pre-season training on Monday when Fabian Wilnis, Dean McDonald and Jimmy Juan will sign their deals. |

Manager Joe Royle has confirmed that Dean McDonald will be offered a deal with the club in the summer. The 18-year-old winger or striker, in the squad for Saturday's home game with Crewe, has been on a short-term deal designed to give him time to show the Town management what he can do. |

Irish youngster John Paul Kelly was at Portman Road last week and was in the Academy U18 side which defeated Fulham 3-0 on Saturday. Yesterday sources in Ireland reported that Town were amongst a number of clubs chasing the 17-year-old. |
